Description

The floating ball valve features a ball that is not fixed by a trunnion, allowing it to drift towards the downstream side and tightly push against the seat under medium pressure to ensure reliable sealing. This simple yet effective design offers excellent sealing performance. However, the seat material must withstand the workload since the sealing pressure is borne by the seat ring. Consequently, floating ball valves are primarily used in medium or low-pressure applications due to the limitations of high-performance seat materials.
